The first thing you should do is check your admin email address for the email from WordPress, as that should give you more details about the error and allow you to access your site in recovery mode.

If you haven’t received the email or don’t know how to resolve the error, here is a guide to useful steps you can work through to fix this problem.

This occurs are most commonly occurred when we are updating any themes or plugins.  Make sure you have received any information about this error to your registered email account. If you received means it’s telling you what’s the reason for this error.

Before trying to fix the error take backup for your account.

How to fix the critical error on your website:

Issue related to the plugin:

Log in to your cPanel account. Go to the file manager. Open the public_ html directory in the file manager.

In public_html directory open wp_content folder. Select the plugin folder and rename it as plugin_rename. Now all of your plugins get deactivated. Now try to open your site, if the site is working fine means the error occurred by the plugins. Now you can rename the plugin_rename folder as a plugin. Go to the plugin folder check the plugin one by one by deactivating them, check your site is working or not. By these, you will possibly find which plugin has caused the error.

Issue related to the theme:

Log in to your cPanel account. Go to the file manager.

In file manager open public_ html directory. In public_html directory open wp_content folder.

Go to the theme folder and rename the theme which is active on your website.  If you have seen the site is working fine means an error occurred by themes. If it is not working means the error was not occurred by the themes.

Change it to the default theme and check your domain is working fine. If it is working fine then the issue occurred by the theme which you used in your domain. You can now download the new theme from WordPress and install it to your domain and check it is working fine.
